As Armed Forces Day fast approaches, Byng House, the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Break Centre for Southport will be aiding the commemorative day at both Princes Park in Southport and also at the RG Masters VC TA Centre in Bootle as part of an Open Day.

Byng House Deputy Manager Kay Naidoo and Committee Treasurer Cyril Goulbourne will be holding a stall at Princess Park on Saturday 29th June 2013 and will be spreading the word on the Poppy Break centre and also on the application process for Poppy Breaks for those that have served in the Armed Forces.

Likewise the stand for Byng House will be held by Manager Jason Carroll and Head Housekeeper Manon McCormack at the RG Masters VC TA Centre in Bootle, also on Saturday 29th June 2013.

The Open Day at the RG Masters VC TA Centre is aiming not only to celebrate Armed Forces Day with the local community, but to also raise awareness of the services that the TA provides to the Armed Forces and to highlight the services available to service veterans locally. The Open Day will also have a display of vehicles and equipment used by the TA, a WWI trench and there will also be a Liverpool Veterans Project stand.
