Business as usual despite Virginia Street road closure
Residents can still get access shops on Virginia Street despite United Utilities closing off the road near to the Lidl supermarket entrance, local diversions are in operation.
Owner of The carpet shop the mews, Mark Regan told OTS News “We are not closed as the road signs say, I have been in touch with United Utilities and was told it’s is going on for around four days.”

Virginia Street sink hole finally fixed after 3 years
For years drivers were warned of a sink hole the bottom of a speed bump outside 7, Virginia Street, Southport.
OTS News.co.uk received numerous complaint about vehicles being damaged.
Sefton Council and Unitedly Utilities have finally decided to carry out a repair rather than filling the hole with tarmac.
Local diversions remain in operation until the work is complete.
