Burscough Pangea sculptures opens new showroom

Pangea Sculptures are created and sourced from a team of talented craftsmen in the heart of Africa.

A unique collection of handmade sculptures designed to inspire.

From small frogs and birds to life size elephants, Rhinoceros, hippopotamus and more – Pangea Sculptures have a distinctive look making them an attractive accessory in any setting.

The business began nearly two years ago when Ian Unsworth, Managing Director, visited Africa and purchased some sculptures for his home. The response to the sculptures here in the UK was unbelievable and Ian went back to meet with Moses, now our head sculpture and to secure a contract exclusively for Pangea Sculptures.

Pangea Sculptures is now supporting a local community in Nairobi, giving jobs to over 26 individuals. The company has also provided the team with the correct safety equipment and tools to enhance their sculpting.

The products are all made by hand from recycled materials, a wire frame is produced by Moses and then a team beat and weld each piece of metal to create a life like sculpture which has every detail on it – from the muscle tone to hairs in the nostrils and eyelashes on the eyes.

Pangea Sculptures is excited to be launching a brand new showroom in the heart of Lancashire on County Road in Ormskirk. The building is currently being refurbished to an impressive standard and the showroom opens its doors on 22 July 2016 at 12 noon when Councillor Liz Savage, the Lord Mayor of West Lancashire, will assist in the opening ceremony.

With an interior and exterior viewing area customers will be able to marvel at the works being displayed and the sculptures will be sure to impress anyone with an eye for detail and style.

Eventually an onsite warehouse will also aid distribution and ensure Pangea Sculptures can meet the supply demands for this brand new product.

General Manager Bev Howard commented “Pangea Sculptures has an exciting journey ahead, producing sculptures that are designed like nothing else, our sculptors have created a product that exudes beauty and style in a most impressive form.”
