POLICE are appealing for information about a 14 year old boy who has gone missing from his home in Burscough.

Charlie Ackerman left his home address on Lord Street to go to school on Wednesday (27 November) morning; however he failed to return home after school or attend school the following day.

Charlie is described as white with short dark-brown hair and of slim build.

He was last seen wearing a blue school jumper with white shirt, black trousers and brown shoes. He was carrying a black Nike backpack with a large red Nike sign on the back.

Inspector Mark Porter said: “The longer Charlie fails to make contact with his family the more concerned we are becoming for his welfare due to his young age.

“If anybody has seen him over the past few days or has any information about his current whereabouts then I would ask them to contact police.

“I would also like to appeal directly to Charlie; you’re not in any trouble we just want to know that you’re safe so please get in touch with your family or the police.”

Anybody with any information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org.

No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
