Britain in Bloom Judging Day August 6th, 2016 jmr jmr Latest News Shares Comments Britain in Bloom Judging Day It was an important day for Southport yesterday, 5 August, as the judges for Britain in Bloom, Mr Ian Beaney and Mr Richard Budge, arrived on Rotten Row to carry out their assessment of Rotten Row in conjunction with Lord Street, Victoria Park and other areas of Southport. It would be an important verdict if Southport were to win the coveted Gold Medal Award, not only the prestige of obtaining this but also a recognition of all the hard work and dedication of all the volunteer groups in Southport in maintaining our Parks and Greenspaces. The judges decision will not be known until later this year, however as to Rotten Row the judges stated that they were very impressed not only with the display and variety of plants but also the dedication of all the volunteers.
