BREAKING NEWS | Southport supporters organise mass walkout to protest against chairman

Southport fans have voted to walk out in protest over Charlie Clapham’s ownership of the club.

The yellows play Lincoln at home on April 29 and fans have voted to stage a walk out ten minutes before time in a protest bid to unhinge Clapham from his role as chairman.

They have decided that enough is enough and as the Port face certain relegation, a meeting of the Trust in Yellows in the town last night led to the fans calling for a full stadium walkout as the only way Clapham would sit up and take notice. A Spokesperson for Southport FC said: “The Southport Football Club Board are aware that there is a meeting of Trust in Yellow supporters who have extended an invitation to all supporters to discuss the season we are concluding in a little over two weeks. The Board are of course aware that we have endured a horrible season.

The Board will sit down immediately following our last game of the season when a complete review of the club from top to bottom will take place.”
