Boozers baffled with temporary Sir Henry Seagrave closure

Baffled boozers were baying at the door of the Sir Henry Seagrave today (Wednesday 5 April) after it shut in mysterious circumstances.

Nobody is quite sure why the pub was forced to temporarily close although it’s believed an electrical fault has caused managers to raise enough concerns for safety that pub goers needed to be evacuated.

One disgruntled drinker, Brian Maystack, said: “I was having an all day breakfast and a pint when a concerned waitress told me we had to leave.

“Loads of us were heralded out of the door and we still don’t know why.

“I tried to get back in but there was a sign telling us to go to Lloyds instead”
