Boozed up driver arrested after crashing into Burscough traffic lights 

Yesterday evening (Thursday 8 December), police were called to a road traffic collision on Liverpool Road involving 1 vehicle that had collided with traffic lights at a pedestrian crossing.

The driver was found be over the legal alcohol limit and was arrested at scene.

No one including the driver was injured which was extremely fortunate considering the vehicle ended up on the pavement balancing on top of the fallen traffic lights.

Please bear in mind that what alcohol you consume during the festive period could possibly be in your system the following day and considerably impair your driving.
