Bold Hotel now open after £2 million refurb March 9th, 2016 jmr jmr Latest News Shares Comments Lord Street’s Bold Hotel had its ‘grand’ reopening this weekend, following a multimillion pound makeover. The Bold Hotel will be open today after it closed Monday/Tuesday after its grand opening last Saturday (March 5). This video was taken Saturday morning (March 5) when tradesmen and staff were hard at work preparing for the opening night….. The Bold Hotel was sold in December 2015, and closed for a complete refurbishment on January 1. On Saturday, new owners gave Southport residents a taste of what’s to come at the hotel, with an opening party, featuring live music. New owners, Mikhail Investments, have already made their mark on the hospitality industry and are capitalising on the success of their first venture in this market, the Eccleston Arms Bar & Grill in St Helens. General Manager Adam Draper said: “This new version of The Bold Hotel is just what Southport needs. “We have a talented head chef, and the kitchen boasts a charcoal grill; this is an elegant yet relaxed setting in which people can eat beautifully cooked, well-presented food. “And with an extensive wine and cocktail list you’d be forgiven for making the Bold your new local haunt.” The hotel will officially open on Thursday (March 10).
