Police were called to the Monument on London Street, Southport this morning after a member of the public discovered the body a male, Saturday 6 June 2015.
A post-mortem will be conducted to establish the man’s cause of death.
A spokesman for Merseyside Police said:
“At this time the death is being treated as unexplained.”
