Body found on Lord Street Southport
Police cordoned off the gardens around the band stand at approximately 3am this morning,Thursday 24 November 2016.
Emergency services attended but sadly the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is being treated as non-suspicious.
Witnesses told our report: “A body of a man was found, scientific were at the scene around two hours.
