UPDATE: Man in his 30s found dead in town centre flat (otsnews.tv)

Update

Merseyside Police can confirm enquiries are underway following the death of a man in Southport today (Friday, 4 March 2016).

Emergency services were called at about 2.30pm to a property on Scrarisbrick Street to a report the body of a man had been found.

Police and paramedics attended and attempts were made to revive the man. Despite this he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man, who is believed to be in his 30s, has yet to be formally identified. His next of kin are in the process of being informed.

At this time the death is being treated as unexplained.

A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course to establish a cause of death and the coroner for Liverpool has been notified.
