Be Active October

Sefton is set for a spooktacular half term of events and sessions as the popular school holiday programme, Be Active, returns.

Following a successful summer the Active Sefton team have decided to shake up, or should we say shiver up, the offering with a frightful Halloween twist.

Young people can test themselves on a creepy obstacle course at the Spooky Spectacular, design pumpkins at the Freaky Friday event and finish off the week with some devilish Halloween disco dancing.

Alongside the spooky sessions will be the return of the popular Football Academy, Dance Workshops, Lakeside Adventure and Swim & Splash sessions, giving young people the chance to get active  and develop new skills in a fun and safe environment.

Cllr Ian Moncur, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing, said: “The Be Active programme gets stronger and stronger each school holiday and I am sure that young people across the borough will enjoy the spooky sessions the team have put together.

“I look forward to seeing many of our local residents at the events.”
