Baby snatch Morrisons Southport December 23rd, 2014 jmr jmr Latest News Shares Comments A teenage girl allegedly tried to snatch a child in a pram from Morrisons supermarket Monday 22 December. Police were called to Morrisons supermarket in Southport, at about 4.50pm after a report of a ‘teenager acting erratically’. She had allegedly tried to push a pram with a child inside away from its mother and out of the store before security guards immediately detained her. When officers from Merseyside Police arrived at the scene, the girl was found to be ‘intoxicated and distressed’, before she was taken home ‘having been spoken to about her behaviour’. A spokesman said: ‘Merseyside Police can confirm officers were in attendance at the Morrisons store in Southport yesterday following a report of a teenager acting erratically. ‘ At about 4.50pm a report was received that a 16-year-old girl was acting erratically inside the store and, at one point, had attempted to push a pram with a child inside away from its mother. ‘Security were alerted and the girl was detained immediately.
