Aussie whirlwind at Southport Comedy Club!

 Mickey D

The epitome of the natural born comedian Mickey burst onto the comedy scene as a 17 year old and made an immediate impact, storming the national finals of Australia’s prestigious JJJ’s Raw Comedy. Today Mickey is recognized as a truly International and multi-award winning comedian. Along the way he’s acquired an impressive list of TV and radio credits including Comedy Channel, Channel 7, ABC TV in Australia, BBC2’s ‘Comedy Shuffle’ and a raft of TV shows in New Zealand and South Africa.  Few comics can say they’ve rocked the Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well as knocking them dead across the UK, throughout Europe and the States. An absolute livewire on stage, he is refreshingly upbeat, irrepressibly energetic and irresistibly loveable. In short, pretty much everywhere he goes he makes a massive impact as a one man comedy maelstrom and force of nature and he will have you falling off your seat in fits of laughter.

‘Charmingly gregarious and a world class talent’ The Independent

Mike Newall

He’s one of the UK’s most consistently reliable comedy storytellers and proud possessor of a breezy, casual style that’s the envy of many of his contempories. Frankly we’ve never seen a comedian so laid back and yet packing so much comedic power. Swiss clock timing and that certain knack for a sharp turn of phrase means he is living proof that you can’t learn to be funny, it’s a gift and he has it by the bucket load. Manchester has had more than its fair share of comedy heritage over the years, he is without doubt the latest smooth talking, globetrotting Manc export and could even go on to become the greatest. Mike has that rare knack of being like the boy the next door but with huge star quality. He’s like your best, most humorous friend – only funnier!

“Is a master of the art of comedy and effortlessly likeable” The List

Mark Simmons

Delivers an inventive stream of accessible one-liners and with strong, quirky quips and slow-burners, his understated style is likeable and full of laugh out loud gags. Like a gentle version of Jimmy Carr.

‘You were fantastic’

Tim Vine

Your MC for all the above is Southport born Damion Larkin, one of Britain’s most promising comedy talents, renowned for being a spontaneous and lovable host.
