Attempted burglary at Lord Street Post Office Southport

Merseyside Police is appealing for witnesses following an attempted burglary at a post office in Southport.

Police were called to Lord Street at just before 3am on Friday, 17 July, following reports that an offender or offenders had forced a door to gain entry into the shop next door to the post office.

It is then believed they attempted to smash a wall and gain entry into the neighbouring post office but were disturbed and fled the scene.

Detectives are seeking CCTV from the area and enquiries are ongoing.
