Community Life Champions Sharon Gregory-Wareing (ASDA Southport) Natalie Murry (ASDA Wigan) Gwen Appleton (ASDA Leigh) secured £600 of funding from the ASDA Foundation for the welcome home packs for the residents of Wharfside following the devastating fire at the flats.
We have been working closely with Wigan Council and also the residents to find out what they needed most in the welcome home packs.
Councillor Chris Ready, portfolio holder for communities and housing, said ” in times of adversity it is always so hearting to see the community rally around and help those in need we’d like to Thank the ASDA Foundation for stepping in helping out the residents of Wharfside following this difficult time”
