If so, BOS Musical Theatre Company would love to hear from you! The society is presently performing Hairspray at the Little Theatre, Southport. However after the final performance on Saturday, work begins again on its next production of Lionel Bart’s musical Oliver, to be staged at the same theatre from 3rd to 10th October 2015.
The society is looking for is looking for talented boys, girls, students and adults (singers, dancers and actors) who would like to take part. Auditions are open and therefore everyone is welcome to come along and audition. An Introductory Evening will take place on Tuesday 2nd June from 7.45pm at the Temperance Institute, London Street, Southport, PR9 0TH. Anyone interested in being part of the cast is encouraged to attend this informal evening to hear about the show and meet the production team. There will be two pre-audition rehearsals for music and dance on Friday 6th June at 7pm and Tuesday 9th June at 7.30pm.
Rehearsals for the show will take place every Tuesday and Friday evening from June throughout the summer months until October. There will also be five Sunday rehearsals beginning at the end of August which cast must be available for.
Auditions for Principal roles take place on Friday 14th June from 6.30pm at the Temperance Institute. Children’s chorus, minor principals and adult chorus auditions follow on Sunday 16th June from 10am. Children auditioning will need to download an audition form available on the website and email this to the secretary liz.clarke@BOSmtc.co.uk before Tuesday 9th June. Download access details will also be provided to audition pieces. Full details can be obtained from the website at www.BOSmtc.co.uk. There will be a £5 audition fee payable at the start of the audition for non-members.
