Appeal after quad bike is stolen from Southport farm

POLICE are appealing for information after a quad bike was stolen from a farm in Southport.

The burglary took place overnight between 10.30pm on Sunday 18th August and 6.30am on Monday 19th August at an outbuilding on a farm on Segars Lane.

Someone has forced entry to remove a set of bolt cutters before stealing a quad bike and making off through fields to the side of the premises.

The bike is a Polaris Outlaw 90 quad bike in red and white and is worth nearly £2,000.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information about this burglary to contact them.

PC Ian Fisher said: “I’d appeal to anybody with any information about the whereabouts of this quad bike or with any information at all that could assist with our investigation to contact Lancashire Police on 101.

“No other outbuildings were targeted which suggests the offenders had knowledge of where the bike was stored.”

People with information can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
