Appeal after indecent exposure on golf course

POLICE are appealing for information after a man exposed himself on a Lancashire golf course last month.

At around 6:30am on the morning of the 6th of May, a golfer was on the 5th green at Beacon Park Golf Centre, Dalton when a man came running out from the bushes with his trousers round his ankles, exposing himself. He was challenged by the golfer and ran away.

Approximately 45 minutes later, the green keeper was on the 6th tee when he was approached by what is assumed to be the same man, who was also exposing himself with his trousers round his ankles. On seeing another group of golfers approaching the tee, the man again ran away.

Officers investigating are appealing for information and are asking anyone with any information to come forward.

PC Tony Kerr said, “These are concerning incidents and I would appeal to anybody that has seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area to call police on 101. I’d urge anybody that thinks they can assist us with our investigation to get in touch.”

The man has been described as white, in his 40’s, around five feet ten inches tall and of heavy build. He was wearing a red Adidas jacket which had white stripes down both sleeves. Under the jacket he wore a white hooded jumper and was wearing cargo style trousers.

People with information can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
