    By 19th February 2015

Appeal for Bike Theft Information. Mountain bikes were, this week, stolen from Ainsdale police station.

Burglars broke into a secure garage adjacent to the station, where the bikes were put for safe keeping.

The bikes are worth around £6,500. The thieves stole four Cannondale trail SL3 bikes, six Landrover Kiakass bikes and one giant Talon bike. It is thought the thieves’ prised open a window frame and they would have been forced to take the wheels off the bikes to get them through the window frame.

The thieves stole 11 of the bikes.

Any sightings or offers of these bikes please use our anonymous ‘submit a tip’ section or contact the Police direct on 0151 777 3449 (Formby) 0151 777 3442 (Southport).
