 Antipsychotic drugs lost in Southport town centre

Police are urging anyone who finds prescription drugs lost in Southport town centre to hand them in.

At about 4.30pm on Tuesday, 17 January, it was reported that a quantity of medication had been lost in Southport town centre.

The lost medication is described as approximately one month’s supply of Colzapine tablets, which were in a white bag with writing on it.

Following advice from medics officers are warning people that this medication should not be taken by anyone if it has not been prescribed for them as it could be dangerous. Side effects could include delirium, coma, tachycardia, hypertension, respiratory failure and hyper-salivation.

Anyone who finds the medication should hand it in to any pharmacy, or police station, or call officers on the 101 number.
