A gang believed to be local to the town have been accused of trying to stir up trouble after using white paint to draw ‘IRA’ on a string of properties, fences and walls in the Cemetery Road area of the town. Sectarian morons painted the words IRA on the Family Life Centre Church sign (Cemetery Road), a shop window (Boundry Street) and fences in Warwick Street. Motorists were left disgusted after the gang drew IRA on walls and fences along Cemetery Road – a main route for people travelling through Southport.
