Ainsdale St John’s CE Parish Church Development Fund

St John’s Church, Ainsdale, has been closed for 4 and a half years after the roof was found to be unsafe, but services have continued in the church hall. The full cost of re- roofing and re-ordering will be in the region of £500,000. The Vicar of St. John’s Rev Graham Birch said,‘Our church is not just for the current worshippers but for the whole community of Ainsdale.’The need for a new roof is an opportunity to create a flexible space within the church so it can be used all through the week.’ We now have the new roof, but need to boost our fundraising to redevelop the internal space for 7 days a week use and not just the day and a half previously! It will be of benefit to the church, the school and the Ainsdale Community.
