The choice of courses includes Traineeships, Business and Health & Social care. Full-time Courses If you want to get a qualification in Business or Health and Social Care then our ‘full-time’ courses are ideal for you. You can start at Level 2 or Level 3 depending on your existing GCSE results and start working towards an industry recognised qualification. Traineeships Traineeships are an ideal opportunity for young people who are motivated to get a job but who lack the skills and experience that employers are looking for. If you have been unsuccessfully applying for Apprenticeships due to a lack of skills and experience then you might be a good candidate for a Traineeship. You could be suitable for a Traineeship if you: are unemployed (or work less than 16 hours per week) and have little work experience are motivated to work are aged 16 – 18 inclusive and are qualified below Level 3 OR are aged 19 – 23 inclusive and are qualified below full Level 2 The Traineeship course will begin with a 2 week orientation plan before students choose to specialise their career. Career options are: Childcare Business Administration Hospitality/Catering IT Students will be in college 1 day a week and participate in a work placement until they are job ready. The course includes work towards qualifications in English and maths plus: Careers guidance sessions Work experience CV writing Study in the career of their choice At the end of the Traineeship the student will be guaranteed a job interview and, where possible, an apprenticeship with their work placement provider.
