The ninth annual Active Workforce 5k took place on Thursday, May 21 and was a huge success with 325 participants.
With perfect running conditions on the night there was some great times recorded, with the winning male, Richard Shearer, finishing with a time of 17:02 and the winning female, Rebecca Johnstone, finishing with a time of 21:07.
Amy Barnes, Active Workforce Development Manager, said: “It was a fantastic day and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.
“Entries were up on last year and there was a great mix of abilities taking part on the day.”
Active Workforce is now taking entries for its Mixed Netball Tournament which takes place on Thursday, July 2.
