Rickie Lake, 47, appeared in Sefton Magistrates’ Court today following the death of Steven Weedon on March 26 last year.

Mr Weedon, 34, fell from height at a construction site in Park Road West, Southport, according to the Health and Safety Executive.

Lake is charged with health and safety breaches relating to his duty to ensure the proper installation of scaffolding.

He entered no plea to the charge.
