Ringo’s watch from John Lennon is in Southport

A well-respected Southport jeweler stumbled across a rare watch that is believed to have been given to ‘Ringo Star’ from ‘John Lennon’ in 1963.

The engraving on the back reads; ‘Happy Birthday Ringo, Love John, 7-7-63’.

This date would have been Johns second year in the band.

Jeweler Nigel Short said: “The watch has been sitting in my safe for years, it was only recently it brought to attention that it could have been a gift between Beatles”

“Experts have confirmed the dates match up, and this latest photo of Ringo wearing the watch means it now could be worth a small fortune”
