A Southport marriage proposal… in a roundabout way!

Motorists in Southport want to know if a bizarre marriage proposal was accepted after someone placed a sign on Kew roundabout.

Although little is currently known about the couple, a giant banner was attached to the railings of Meols Cop field opposite the busy Kew roundabout on Saturday, August 27 asking someone called ‘Sasha Green’ to ‘marry me.’

A passenger on an Arriva bus snapped a photo of the banner and sent it in to our reporter in the hope that the couple may come forward to reveal what happened next.

They told the Champion: “We were at the roundabout and I had to do a double take. Luckily I managed to get my phone out in time and take a picture of it.

“I wonder if she said yes?

“It seems a little bit of an odd place to have it but each to their own!”

So, are you the person who made the proposal at Kew roundabout? Or perhaps you’re Sasha?

If you know the couple, get in touch with the OTSNews.co.uk to let our readers know what happened next.
