7 years jail for Twistfield Close burglar (Southport) June 17th, 2014 admin Latest News Shares Comments 7 years jail for Twistfield Close burglar (Southport) David Roy Allen, aged 50, of Coniston Avenue, Farnworth, Bolton, has been sentenced to 7 years in prison at Liverpool Crown Court today (Monday 16th June 2014) charged with burglary. Allen was arrested by police officers on the 5th March 2014 in Saxon Road at 5.20pm following reports of a burglary at a house in nearby Twistfield Close, Southport. The victim, a 30-year-old local man, had returned home to find his front door had been forced open. ABOVE: Allen trying to make his escape Once inside he realised he had been burgled and, after seeing a man acting suspiciously on his driveway, called the police.
