The emergency services were called to Cambridge Road shortly after 4.30pm following reports of collision involving a tax and motorcycle, Thursday November 26 2015.
The motorcycle collided with a taxi leaving Subway car park. Members or the public stopped to help the man and diverted traffic around the scene.
Police arrived one hour after the 999 call and the ambulance one hour and fifteen minutes later.
Thankfully the public was on hand to help. The motorcyclist was taken to Southport Hospital, his condition is not known at the present time.
